While I was in Washington D.C., I did a lot of walking around, so much that I’m pretty sure my legs and feet are still sore from it! Anyway, one night on my trip, I was getting ready to go out to dinner and I kept looking at myself in the mirror. All I kept thinking was, “Girl, you were working so hard in the gym. You need to get back to that!”.
As soon as I came home from my wonderful vacation, I started to do a lot of research. First thing I did, was march myself right to Costco where I treated myself to the FitBit Charge 2. This fitness wristband, is awesome. It tracks your heart rate, all day activities -including running, cardio and weight lifting – and it tracks how many steps you take (you’re supposed to take 10,000 steps per day).
I go to the gym 4 days a week already, but I have felt that wasn’t really enough. So I started constructing a running schedule to go along with my gym schedule. I also contacted an awesome personal trainer and Mets fan (shoutout to @FitByGab) for online training. This will include personalized workouts, nutrition guide and classes, and check-ins.
Sharing this and the journey that’s ahead, will help hold me accountable and responsible. My goal is to lose at least 20 pounds before 2017 ends. It’s going to take a lot of hard work but I’m determined to go into 2018 being a fitter, healthier me.
